Action continues at the 2007 World Series Of Poker Main Event. The game as always is no-limit Texas hold'em with a buy-in of $10,000, and the starting field of 6,358 competitors vying for the $8 million first place prize and title has been whittled in half. Holding his own through Day 1 and now seated at the featured table is former 2004 WSOP and 2005 WPT Player Of The Year, Daniel Negreanu, and he's showing off his reading abilities to the rest of the table. Elsewhere in the field we have a wide variety of former main event champs still in it, including from 2000 Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, from 2001 Carlos Mortensen, from 2002 Robert Varkonyi, and from 2003 Chris Moneymaker. Other players of note include the 2006 National Heads-Up champion Ted Forrest, the legally blind Hal Lubarsky and his helper Jason Williams, 2006 WPT Player Of The Year Gavin Smith, legendary Danish player Gus Hansen, former Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander, Jack Ury who is the oldest player in the Main Event at 94 years young, and the Internet player best known for multitabling upwards of 20 SNGs at a time, Hevad "RaiNKhAN" Khan. Commentary is provided as usual by Lon McEachern and Norman Chad.
